Ann Wagner is running in Missouri’s Second Congressional District, an open seat just west of St. Louis. A Young Gun Vanguard, Wagner was selected by Speaker Boehner to deliver the Republican Weekly Address this weekend. In making his announcement yesterday, Speaker Boehner noted that:
“Americans want a real agenda to create jobs and long-term growth, but President Obama is offering nothing but excuses, gimmicks, and the same failed economic polices that have buried middle class families over the past four years. We can do better. Ann Wagner grew up working alongside her parents at her family’s business, and she understands that real economic recovery won’t happen until we stop out of control Washington spending and get government out of the way of small business job creators. Like Governor Romney and Republicans running for Congress across our great nation, Ann Wagner has the courage to lead, and I’m looking forward to hearing her address.”
Wagner grew up working at her family’s retail carpet business in Manchester, Missouri, where she saw firsthand how government can be an obstacle to hiring and expanding. Wagner later went on to college at the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked in the private sector before serving as RNC Co-Chair and U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg under President George W. Bush.
Missouri’s Second District needs to send Ann Wagner to Washington. To support her candidacy, and that of other like-minded Republicans, consider supporting the Freedom Project today.
