The National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) today announced its fourth round of Patriot Program members – bringing the total to 34 members in the program. CNN reports:
“[T]he National Republican Congressional Committee Tuesday announced the fourth round of their 'Patriot Program' members for the 2012 election cycle. The NRCC says the program ‘is a rigorous, goal-oriented initiative that enables Members to stay on offense as they build winning re-election campaigns.’ The NRCC says Rep. Chip Cravaack of Minnesota, Rep. Nan Hayworth of New York, Rep. Chris Gibson of New York, Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle of New York, and Rep. Reid Ribble of Wisconsin will be members of the program, which was initiated in 2009.”
And Roll Call noted this morning that:
“Three of the races — two in New York and one in Wisconsin — overlap, signalling [sic] both parties are preparing for competitive battles....With the five additions, there are 34 Members in the Patriot program. The most recent ‘Patriot Day’’ fundraising event raised $1.5 million for 10 vulnerable Members. The next ‘Patriot Day’ is scheduled for May 17 and will benefit the five new Members in the program.”
The Patriot Program will strengthen the House Republican Majority that is built on listening to the American people and acting on their priorities. To learn more about the NRCC’s Patriot Program, click here.
