Protecting the Majority: House Republicans Raise More than Democrats
Bloomberg News reported today that House Republicans continue to be far more successful in their fundraising efforts than their Democratic rivals.
Republicans are working hard to ensure they keep the majority the American people entrusted them with, and as Bloomberg News reports, they are raising the resources necessary to retain a GOP-led House: “[o]f the 19 Republicans most in danger of losing their House seats in November…14 had more money in the bank as of June 30 than their Democratic opponents.”
In November 2010, House Republicans made a net gain of 64 seats. Working to get Washington out of the way of small business, it’s important that Speaker Boehner and House Republicans maintain their majority.
That majority – based on listening to the American people and fighting for jobs on their behalf – will be contested in battleground states across the country, like New York’s 18th district, represented by Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY). She’s a proven listener, and is working hard to raise the resources necessary to compete and win. In fact, she’s already tripled her fundraising from 2010, and has raised $2.2 million through June 30th.
It is crucial to protect the House majority so that Speaker Boehner and House Republicans can continue to fight for jobs and a smaller, more cost-effective government. With less than 100 days until Election Day, stand with Speaker Boehner and support Nan Hayworth and all of the Freedom Project endorsed candidates today.
