NRCC Releases New Web Video: Leading the People’s House

Yesterday, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a new web video “Leading the People’s House,” highlighting Speaker Boehner, NRCC Chairman Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), and incoming (and current deputy) chairman Rep. Greg Walden’s (R-OR) efforts to retain the GOP Majority in the House of Representatives.

Following is video and transcript:

“Reporter: The Republican Party will retain control of the House of Representatives.

“Speaker Boehner: The House is going to continue to do what the American people have asked us to do. To listen to them and follow their will. It's the same message I gave two years ago.

“Rep. Pete Sessions: Americans have chosen to again entrust leadership of the House to Republicans. They have rewarded our members for showing courage and tackling the challenges our nation faces head on.

“Rep. Greg Walden: We also owe a debt of gratitude to Speaker of the House John Boehner. For the past month and a half, he has been crisscrossing the nation in support of our candidates and incumbents, working hard to sustain our majority.

“Boehner: This is day 45 of a 45 day trip. It's taken me from Maine to San Diego, from Bismarck, North Dakota to Naples, Florida on behalf of our ticket and on behalf of our candidates.

“Sessions: I've had the privilege to serve under the Speaker's leadership and have seen first-hand how deeply he cares about this country and about preserving its greatness for future generations.

“Boehner: Our job is to listen to the American people and to follow their will. And our job is to save the American dream for our kids and our grandkids.

“America has big challenges and we're the ones that are going to have to lead.

“Walden: House Republicans have a responsibility to the voters to continue our work towards a smaller, less expensive and more accountable federal government. And under John Boehner's leadership, we will do exactly that.

“Boehner: We're humbled by having once again been entrusted by the American people the responsibility of leading the People's House. We will never take it for granted and we will never let you down. God Bless you and God Bless our country. [applause]”
