Meet the Newest NRCC “Young Guns”

Yesterday, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) added seven conservative candidates for the U.S. House to its Young Guns program.  Politico says achieving “Young Gun” status is a sign that a candidate has “established a clear path to victory, set up respectable campaign structures and met fundraising benchmarks.”

Like all of the members of the program, you can find the seven candidates listed below on the Freedom Project’s slate of Young Guns:

>> Adam Hasner (FL-22): Adam has over 15 years of private sector business experience working with physicians and hospitals and vows he’ll fight for “meaningful reforms that will expand healthcare choices and tackle problems such as portability and pre-existing conditions without sacrificing the high quality of care the American people expect and deserve.”

>> Ben Lange (IA-01): Ben believes it’s time that the people of Iowa’s First Congressional District had a leader who was focused on “solving our nation’s debt crisis, while promoting a legislative agenda rooted not in the coercive power of the state, but in the liberty of individuals to pursue virtue.”

>> John Archer (IA-02): John’s experience at Deere & Company led him to run for Congress.  Working alongside his fellow Iowans in Davenport, Dubuque, Waterloo and Ottumwa to produce the finest agricultural machinery in the world, John knows firsthand what it takes to create jobs and compete in the world marketplace.

>> Kevin Raye (ME-02): "What's missing in Washington is some good old-fashioned common sense," Kevin often says.  A resident of Eastport and a small family business owner, Kevin currently serves as President of the Maine Senate, where he has helped pass a budget to reduce state debt and lower taxes.

>> Kevin Cramer (ND-AL): Kevin opposes the ObamaCare law that is driving up health care costs and hurting the economy, and says he’ll be an important voice for “market-based solutions that empower patients and doctors, and malpractice reforms that protect consumers and incent healthcare providers to do the right thing.”

>> Danny Tarkanian (NV-04): As a small business owner, Danny favors common-sense reforms to bring back jobs and promote economic development in Nevada and the rest of the country, without increasing spending or debt.

>> Chris Collins (NY-27):  With high unemployment and rising debt on the minds of many New Yorkers, Chris believes it’s time to “get serious about cutting spending, reducing debt and helping to create much-needed jobs across all sectors of our economy.”
